FDA Helps Increase Safety in the Fan

There are several things which can be done to increase personal safety and general safety in the Fan District:

  • Don’t leave valuables in sight in your parked vehicle
  • Watch out for your neighbors: if you see someone who might be trying to get into a house, or taking something from a house or porch, dial 911 and get a description
  • Be aware of your surroundings, especially if you are out late at night
  • Note the general patterns of crime in the most recent safety update, and avoid placing yourself or family / roommates in similar circumstances

Graffiti

If you see Graffiti in progress call 911 and report it. To have it removed call the Graffiti Hotline 804.646.1406.  A Graffiti Removal release form is required for removal from Private Properties.

The FDA Party Patrol operates on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 PM to 3 AM.  At other hours and Sunday through Wednesday, call the police non-emergency number, 804.646.5100, or the 3rd Precinct at 804.646.1413
